Peterborough Dance Theatre's
"Cloutier & Company Dance"
For the dancer seeking to fine tune their technique and make dance a priority in their schedules with additional performance opportunities throughout the year, within the community & beyond, consider auditioning for PDT's youth performing company "Cloutier & Co. Dance".
This program requires a strong commitment and dedication to being available for extra rehearsals and performances, beyond the dancers regular weekly dance class schedule throughout the year, which are mandatory. Company rehearsals are held Saturdays and occasional Fridays and Sundays closer to the spring performance season.
"Cloutier & Co. Dance" performance opportunities include the concert stage, festivals, professional sports arenas, school tours, master dance classes, field trips, workshops, various community organizations, assisted living communities, student based choreographic opportunities, working with guest artist teachers, choreographers & more.
By Audition/Invitation in the late Spring of each year. Ages 10-18 (or younger with the "Young Dancer Apprentice Program" if approved by Director). 2-3 years of consistent Dance Technique Training, and a keen interest in all genres of dance offered at PDT is a prerequisite. Concurrent study in a variety of dance styles is expected, including being enrolled in a minimum of two dance classes per week, one of which being a ballet technique class, or a technique class of choice with approval by the Director, for consideration in being a Main Co. member, and especially for consideration for castings in the varied and diverse repertoire the Company presents annually.
Please speak with Director if this is something you wish to pursue.
Generally a free program. Though fund raising & volunteering a requirement of all Co. dancers and their parents/guardians. Not to be confused with a "competition team".
